Four intrepid Americans set off to experience the Cinque Terre with Ramblers Worldwide Holidays this last May/June. We had spectacular weather (never rained once), wonderful coastal scenery and some grand strenuous (for me) adventures in the Ligurian Alps.

This was my second trip to New Zealand, having first visited in 2004, but in winter. To my delight we had wonderful summer weather with cloudless blue skies, for the most part. And virtually no rain!

After our bus left Malaga airport there was a massive downpour and many roads were awash with water. We made it safely to our hotel, and the rain stopped as quickly as it had started.
