Walking Holidays in St Lucia

The lush emerald rainforests of St Lucia provide some of the richest terrain imaginable for keen walkers and nature lovers. Home to an extraordinary array of beautiful flora and fauna, as well as rare and exotic wildlife, there is so much to offer those who set foot on this astonishing island.

St Lucia is much more mountainous than many other Caribbean countries, with the two peaks of the Pitons dominating the skyline here. Admire panoramic views from the top of Gros Piton, a challenging hike that results in a spectacular reward.

When you’re not exploring the trails which lead into the hills past banana and coconut plantations, the lure of the shoreline is a memorable way to spend an afternoon. The beauty of the sandy beaches in St Lucia cannot be overstated, and the scenic coastal surroundings are truly unmatched. Meander along the edges of the mangrove forest, past the lazy flowing river and towards a quiet beach cove. You’ll jump at the chance to wade into the crystal clear waters and take a peek at the coral reefs below.

After an immersive day rambling each corner of the island, kick off your hiking boots and take a detoxing dip in the healing waters at Sapphire Falls. Allow any aches and pains to be washed away by the cascading mineral-rich waterfalls - an idyllic way to soothe tired feet.

Why Visit St Lucia with Ramble Worldwide?

A chance to revel in local life won’t be missed, as we embrace the rich lifestyle in St Lucia. The island’s friendly inhabitants reflect the mix of influences on the island, as the creole culture and patois language rings out in the streets. Enjoy a visit to Balenbouche Estate, an old sugar mill plantation, or watch local fishermen at work in the harbour. Whet your whistle when you stop by one of the country’s award-winning rum distilleries, before relishing a sweet taste of the finished product.

Travelling with Ramble Worldwide not only allows you to uncover all the hidden gems of the island but ensures you’ll leave the destination a better place. We’re committed to giving back to the local communities we visit, which you can experience first-hand as you call at a school supported by our Heart & Sole venture.
