We don’t have a set minimum group size for a corporate retreat - our team is happy to accommodate groups of any size, up to a maximum of 19 guests.

Your corporate retreat, your itinerary - you decide if you would like a guided walk with one of our expert leaders who can educate you on the beauty and history of Buttermere and the local fells as you enjoy its splendour on foot. Alternatively, you can test your team’s ability to work together and navigate walking routes with our self-guided options available. Buttermere village is around 1 mile away and has two pubs and a café. Hassness House is accessible by train to Penrith, bus to Keswick, then by bus or taxi (note: public bus doesn’t serve the property from November to Easter). We offer transfers from Penrith Railway Station to Hassness House. The nearest fuel stations are in Keswick or Cockermouth; there are no EV charging docks on site.
