My sister and I had a very enjoyable week in Competa, our first Ramble Worldwide experience. We met some very interesting people. The location was fantastic. The walks were varied and some quite challenging, not least because of the heat! Thank goodness that there was a pool at the hotel, which was a comfortable family-run business where the staff could not do enough for us.

Life continues there as it has done for millennia, based on agriculture. It’s a great walking base, with a network of footpaths passing olive groves and valleys of orchards, and memorable views from the mountains down to the sea.
