The Gargano Peninsular has its own unique mix of plants and is especially famous for the possibility of seeing different wild orchids in April and May.This was a new tour for me so everything was going to be as exciting and interesting for me as I hoped it would be for the group.

Which city did we prefer? Opinions varied in our group—some loved charming Tallinn with its medieval atmosphere, others favored Vilnius for its churches and quirky humor (like trees in knitted jackets!), while I chose Riga as my top pick.

I've just returned from my 28th Ramblers Worldwide trip, as well-organized and well-led as usual. The highlight, as expected, was Petra—a truly wonderful experience. The four nights at the excellent Petra Palace Hotel allowed our group to thoroughly explore this vast site.

In July I went on a two-week hutting tour of the Matterhorn with Ramblers Worldwide Holidays. We were eleven in the party, including the leader, and were blessed with almost perfect weather and wonderful views of many of the famous peaks in the Pennine Alps, including the Matterhorn itself.
