The Lycian Way is where most of our Turkey walking holidays begin, and it's easy to see why. We'll lead you along this stretch of Mediterranean coastline through the ancient Kingdom of Lycia, where the path winds between azure water and pine-covered mountains, with the Olympos Bey Mountains Coast National Park offering some of the most rewarding walking in the whole country. Climb towards Tahtalı Dağı, the highest peak in the park, and the views across the coast make every step of the ascent worthwhile.
For something with an even deeper sense of history, the St Paul Trail follows the same route once walked by Paul the Apostle, stretching 500 kilometres through the Taurus Mountains. We'll take you to Selge, where the ruins of an ancient amphitheatre rise dramatically from the hillside, and past the still waters of Lake Eğirdir, ringed by mountains on every side. Many holidays along this route end at an ancient Roman aqueduct, the very same crossing that pilgrims have used for two thousand years, a properly memorable way to finish a walking holiday. Our small groups and expert local guides bring this layered history to life at every turn, making sure you understand not just where you're walking, but why it matters.
