The West Highland Way

This multi-day itinerary is the perfect chance to test out your navigation skills, although the pathway itself is very well signposted. The northern side has far more peaks to climb compared to the south but many find it a rewarding section, which is home to an abundance of marvellous landscapes.

Orkney Islands

The Shetland Archipelago

This cluster of islands is situated 130-miles north of the Scottish mainland and offers incredible hikes in beautifully remote locations. There are multiple headlands to visit, as well as strolls around Clickimin Loch and the Isle of Noss to name but a few. It is here that you can spot puffins, dolphins and free-roaming Shetland ponies during your journey.

The Muckle Roe route has to have some of the most breathtaking scenery for outdoor enthusiasts, where you will ascend tall cliffs and watch the waves crashing beneath you. Connected to the Shetlands via a bridge lies this fascinating and accessible place, which is not to be missed.
