2025 walking holidays in the Canary Islands

A walking holiday in the Canary Islands truly offers something for everyone. Adventurers will be keen to spend their time exploring volcanoes while calm strolls across the cobbled streets and cathedrals of the many idyllic, whitewashed towns are sure to excite the culturally fascinated. Bright, sandy beaches and hidden coves provide the perfect location for a relaxing, island holiday.

We have the widest selection of walking holidays in the Canary Islands, with handpicked walks across six varied islands. Escape the winter cold with hikes through Lanzarote's spectacularly rugged and volcanic terrain, discover the remote cave villages of Gran Canaria or immerse yourself in the dramatic and expansive scenery of La Gomera. The ancient forests of La Palma are begging to be explored; witness bananas growing as you make your way to the salt-pans, and swing by the colourful capital city of Santa Cruz de la Palma.

Alternatively, uncover the hidden treasures of Fuerteventura or see a different side to beautiful Tenerife: climb the 3000m Mount Teide with a local guide, or ascend by cable car, and revel in the idyllic desert landscape, in the shadow of this huge natural formation. The Teide National Park does not just boast this spectacular volcano, but is also home to stunning rock formations, three-million-year-old lava flows and countless walking trails.
