Experience the diverse beauty of France on our exceptional walking holidays. From the snow-capped peaks of the Alps to the lavender-scented fields of Provence, France offers some of Europe's most rewarding walking experiences.

Live ‘la Joie de vivre’, the joy of life, on a walking holiday in France across the country's picturesque terrain. Wander charming fairy-tale settlements in the heart of the French Alps, where enchanted, cream-coloured chateaus sit beside the glistening turquoise water of Lac d’Annecy. This spectacular scenery provides a blissful backdrop for our walking trips.

Our France Walking Holidays

Our walking holidays in France reflect the diversity of the nation's landscape. Whatever you are interested in seeing, we have an experience for you.

If you’re seeking a challenging hike, choose our Le Tour du Mont Blanc holiday, where you’ll traverse snow-kissed alpine peaks and luscious ski valleys in Chamonix. For a more tranquil route, join us in the sublime southeast. Here, we stroll Provence’s perfumed olive and lavender fields until we reach Roman aqueducts and papal Avignon. Recreate Van Gough’s Café de Nuit in a shady pavement bistro and watch passers-by carry freshly baked baguettes down cobblestone streets. Then, sample a robust glass of Châteauneuf du Pape on a visit to some of France’s most prestigious vineyards.

History lovers will adore Route St Jacques; following the pilgrim trail, we pass ancient shrines and hear chivalric tales of the legendary Beast of Gevaudan. Or, discover the secret cliff-side village of Rocamadour, where monastic buildings and tiny stone houses are carved straight into the rugged limestone rock face.
